Gang Back Story: (250-350 words)
As a teenager, Luciano started his own gang and was a member of the old Five Points Gang. Unlike other street gangs, whose business was petty crime, Luciano offered protection to Jewish youngsters from Italian and Irish gangs for 10 cents per week. He was also learning the pimping trade in the years of Five Point Gang. Luciano also met Riccardo Bronte as teenagers when Luciano attempted to extort Riccardo for protection money on his walk home from school. Luciano respected the younger boy's defiant responses to his threats, and the two formed a lasting partnership. By Luciano's 20s, Luciano had met many future Mafia leaders, including Vito Genovese and Frank Costello, his longtime friend and future business partner through the Five Points Gang.
That same year, Lower Alderney in Liberty City gang boss Joe Masseria recruited Luciano as one of his gunmen. Around that same time, Luciano and his close associates started working for gambler Arnold "The Brain" Rothstein, who immediately saw the potential windfall from Prohibition and educated Luciano on running bootleg alcohol as a business. Luciano, Costello, and Genovese started their own bootlegging operation with financing from Rothstein. Luciano soon became a top aide in Joe Masseria's criminal organization. In contrast to Rothstein, Masseria was uneducated, with poor manners and limited managerial skills. By the late 2000s, Masseria's main rival was boss Salvatore Maranzano, who had come from Sicily to run the Castellammarese clan. After one of Masseria's lieutenants Gaetano Reina switched sides to Maranzano, Masseria ordered Luciano to arrange Reina's murder. After Reina was murdered on February 26, 2007, the rivalry between Masseria and Maranzano escalated into the bloody Castellammarese War.
Luciano soon began cultivating ties with other younger mobsters who had been born in Italy but began their criminal careers in the United States but they chafed at their bosses' conservatism. Luciano wanted to use lessons he learned from Rothstein to turn their gang activities into criminal empires. As the war progressed, this group came to include future mob leaders such as Costello, Genovese, Albert Anastasia, Joe Adonis, Joe Bonanno, Carlo Gambino, Joe Profaci, Tommy Gagliano, and Tommy Lucchese. They believed that their bosses' greed and conservatism were keeping them poor while the Irish and Jewish gangs got rich. Luciano's vision was to form a national crime syndicate in which the Italian, Jewish, and Irish gangs could pool their resources and turn organized crime into a lucrative business for all – an organization he founded after a conference was hosted in Vice City by Luciano, John Gotti, Riccardo Bronte and Carmine Lupertazzi in May 2008. Soon after this meeting happened, Maranzano thought Luciano was a problem and a threat and tried to have him whacked, Luciano was warned and acted first by sending 3 gunmen to take down Salvatore Maranzano, the hit was successful, thus ending the Castallammarese War.
Luciano called a meeting in Vice City with various bosses, where he proposed a Commission to serve as the governing body for organized crime. Designed to settle all disputes and decide which families controlled which territories, the Commission has been called Luciano's greatest innovation. Luciano's goals with the Commission were to quietly maintain his own power over all the families, and to prevent future gang wars; the bosses approved the idea of the Commission.
After the commission was formed, it housed Five Families, Charles Luciano then saw potential in a city called Los Santos where he planned to move him and his family to & take control of all mafia related businesses and make a Five Family Commission in Los Santos.
Planned Day-today Operations:
Illegal Gambling - Gambling is a huge part of the money making that the Mafia see's, the Luciano Family will organise a diclosed location that only a few people will know about for people to gamble, the Luciano Crime Family will make a large profit off of this activity.
Narcotic Distribution - Although the top members of The Luciano Family wont touch Narcotics, the made man & associates will be spread out over different areas to distribute narcotics to the streets, these associates and made man will all be lead by a Caporegime, the caporegime will collect the money and give some back to the made man & associates and then deliver the rest of the money to the bosses of The Luciano Crime Family.
Weapon Trafficking - Weapons are a huge part of The Luciano Crime Family, although the weapon of choice for The Luciano Family is a Tommy Gun, the Luciano's will sell weapons to others, in doing this Luciano will make a huge profit.
Protection/Extortion - The Luciano Family will offer protection to those who cant run to the police because it might get them in trouble, also along those lines, The Luciano Family will also offer protection to small family ran businesses that pop up for a small time weekly fee. All people under protection of The Luciano Family must pay protection money.

What Each Rank Does:
Godfather - The leader of the family. The Godfather makes the final decisions for the family. He has remarkable social skills, charisma, respect, intelligent, cautious and in some cases, feared. The Don has built the family from the ground up and expects nothing less than mutual respect in return. He does his best to keep the family in good shape and running the day-to-day operations. He has chosen his family members wisely, to make sure his family is ran by the right leaders and is on track to becoming well known and respected. With great power, comes great responsibility.
Consigliere - The Godfather's personal Advisor. The Consigliere, also known as the Advisor, is the most trusted member in the family. He has been a loyal friend to the Don and their trust goes beyond friendship. The Advisor has developed people's skills to communicate well with others, he also has wisdom from experience, and is smart from being cautious. The Consigliere takes care of family business outside the family, to ensure the strengths will grow around the family. He deserves as much respect as the Godfather and Underboss; the three of them have mutual respect for each other and have come together to create a family worth leading.
Underboss - Underboss is a Boss in training. He is the right hand man to the Boss when it comes down to protecting the rackets and territory's. He also keeps his eyes and ears out for territory's that may be unclaimed or open to take. He let's his Boss know and they prepare themselves for a fight, if anyone decides to interrupt, to claim any territory or rackets. Has been trained by the Boss to be prepared for a fight and also helps the Boss prepare other members to become leaders
Streetboss - The Streetboss is the eyes and the ears of the streets. He collects any information that will benefit the family in any way. The Streetboss can also be known as a recruiter for the family. He keeps his eyes open for potential leaders for the family. He reports directly to the Underboss if he has vital information for the Don; if essential, a meeting will be set to ensure the safety of the collected information. In some situations the Streetboss is also known as Head Of Security and sets up a tight security cycle inside a well picked compound for the protection of the hierarchy
Caporegime - A respected rank among the members. The Capo has proven their leadership skills, abilities to multi-task and loyalty to the family. Capo leads their own crew of Soldiers within the family, keeps members in touch with other members, and carries out the day-to-day operations. Trains and prepares his Top Soldier to become a Capo for the family. A Capo may have as many members in his crew, as long as he controls his numbers and keeps up the daily operations. But, if he sees fit to promote his Top Soldier to a Capo, then he may suggest him to his superiors for a promotion at the next family meeting.
Made Man - The Made man has earned their place amongst the Capo crew and have also earned the respect from the Capo to become prepared for a Capo position. He is the right hand man for the Capo in any matters the Capo handles. Watches over the Soldiers in the crew to ensure they are doing what needs to be done for the family. Made Man is also known as a Capo-in-training.
Associates - Associate's hang around the family, running errands, delivering messages and anything else they are asks of by the other members. They would like to see how the family runs and see if they have interest in becoming a member of the family. Once they have proven their loyalty they will be recommended for the initiation process to become a Made Man. After the process is done, they will become a Soldier and put into a Capo crew.
